Top 10 Books Looking Forward To 2012

Top 10 books I'm looking forward to 2012. I sadly only have 6 books i'm looking forward to next year.

Here they are:

2012 Book#1 Time Untime by Sherrilyn Kenyon

I can't wait  to read more about Renegade. I love saying his name"Renegade".

Expected publication: August 2nd 2012 (the horror!)

2012 Book#2 Infamous by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Expected publication: March 13th 2012

2012 Book#3 Born of Silence by Sherrilyn Kenyon

I've only read the first book in the League serie but that was enough to make me love Darling's character.
Expected publication: April 15th 2012

2012 Book#4 Lover Reborn by J R Ward

I need more Lassiter!!
Expected publication: March 27th 2012
2012 Book#5 The Darkest Seduction by Gena Showalter

Sienna has grown since her introduction into the serie and I'm curious. I want to know more about this mousy little woman who now has wings and a deeper understanding for the lords plight.
Expected publication: February 28th 2010

2012 Book#6 Lothaire by Kresley Cole

I don't really understand this guy. I have mix feelings about him. I'd have rather Lanthe's or Nix's book to read. This guy's just too arrogant and is he evil or good?!.
Expected publication: January 10th 2012

Top 10 Characters 2011

My top 10 characters 2011. This was easy . I just started writing them down and stopped at 10.

Character#1 Lisbeth Salander ( Millenium Trilogy by Stieg Larsson)

Lisbeth Salander is everything but a victim. She's a strong, badass, intelligent female character. She has her own standards, her own sense of justice and doesn't give a crap about what people think about her. She has attitude and the intelligence to survive.  She's built small but has the will power and strength to fight the world
and anybody who dares to mess with her.

Character#2 Jaden ( Dark Hunter serie by Sherrilyn Kenyon)

Troubled and the king of sarcasm. Jaden's enslaved by Noir and Azura. How or why ,nobody knows but we're all dying to know. Also what's up with him and Jared? Jaden caught my attention when he tried to give Acheron some "advise " about women. He sounded so jaded. I just want to know more about him. He intrigues me I guess. And his mismatched eyes mesmerize me.

Character#3 Savitar (Dark Hunter by Sherrilyn Kenyon)

Who wouldn't like this badass surfer dude? Just like Jaden there's a lot of unanswered questions surrounding his character. like: whats the deal between him and Appolymi? why does Zebulon hate him? who are the 2 people he loves the most?. I'm just very curious and attracted to his character.

Character#4 Peeta Mellark (The Hunger Games by Suzanne  Collins)

I guess what I liked about Peeta is that in the Games he didn't want to lose himself. He didn't want to kill anybody. He wanted to tell the Capitol to stick it. I respect that.

Character#5 Katniss Everdeen ( The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins )

I guess she's the opposite of Peeta. She's going in to survive or do her best to stay alive as she promised her sister. I like strong female characters and Katniss falls into that category.

Character#6 Jane Rizzoli ( Rizzoli&Isle serie by Tess Gerritsen)

Jane is one of my favorite female characters. She's a cop and a fighter. Like I said: I love strong female characters. She's a detective for the Boston PD. One of the few female cops . I liked how even though she was the only female cop she didn't take crap from the other cops (males).

Character#7 Nix the Ever-knowing (Immortals After Dark serie by Kresley Cole)

Nix is funny and her attitude knows no bounds. She's a strong female character and she knows it. For most of the time she's not really all there, I find myself loving the moments when she's not lucid. I love her antics. And how she brings everything together. She's a very entertaining character.

Character#8 Max Vanderberg ( The Book Thief by Markus Zusak)

Oh Max, the raven haired boxer. I loved his story about the stand over man. I love his character because I like Max. He grew and he felt and I went with him.

Character#9 Zarek of Moesia (Dance with the Devil by Sherrilyn Kenyon)

Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?  Zarek's a great character . why : Hair of the Dog, that's why.

Character#10 Lassiter ( Black Dagger Brotherhood by J R Ward)

I love this badass angel. He's hilarious, handsome and falls in the category of Jaden and Savitar. He's a character I want to know more about and his banter with the brothers is just funny as hell. I can't wait to hear more about him.

Top 10 Book Boyfriends 2011

This task wasn't so easy because i don't really understand what is meant by "book boyfriend". A character who's in an actual relationship in the book? a character who's boyfriend material? or the girl characters love/crush interest?

Anyways here are my top 10 book boyfriends. If they don't  actually fit the "book boyfriend"(whatever exactly that means)  catagory in the book then i wish they were my boyfriend :)

BookBoyfriend#1 Peeta Mellark (The Hunger Games)

I know technically in the book he's a pretend boyfriend. But he's had a crush on Katniss since she was 5 and there's just something about The Boy with the Bread that's attractive. A kind of guy character who's hand you want to hold, who's shoulder you want to lay your head on. A comfortable and funny book boyfriend

BookBoyfriend#2 Edward Cullen (Twilight)

Eddy,Eddy ,Eddy. He's the ideal boyfriend. isn't he?. He's handsome and fine. Reads, knows shakespeare and his love is unconditional and irrevocable. The prince from all the fairy tales only diffrence is . He bites.

BookBoyfriend#3  Alex Fuentes( Perfect Chemistry)

He's the bad boy all the good girls secretly desire. He's got the bike ,the jacket, the tattoo's and the attitude. I loved Alex . Perfect chemistry was a wonderful read. I enjoyed it a lot and at the end i was wishing i had some fine chicano calling me "mamacita"

BookBoyfriend#4  Simone Evans (SBC Fighters 2)

Who doesn't like fighters?? I love guys that fight(sport). or can fight. I love action. Simone's character was bossy, loyal . He's a fighter but he's also a good guy who gets betrayed by his wife. This was one of my favorites from the SBC serie.

BookBoyfriend#5 Vane Kattalakis ( Night Embrace)

A guy who would judge you not by your looks but by what's inside. Isn't that what every chicks looking for, a Vane Kattalakis. A Hot, Sexy were-hunter :D

BookBoyfriend#6 Ronald Weasly (Harry Potter)

He's cute, he really is. and funny.

BookBoyfriend#7  Christian Ozera ( Vampire Accademy)

I love Christian . He's dark and mysterious and i liked that at first he and Lissa hated each other but when they started liking each other. He was supportive and protective.

BookBoyfriend#8 Declan Chase (Dreams of a Dark Warrior)

I really don't know if he counts as a book boyfriend but i'm adding him anyway because his irish and he can be the warden of my prison anyday while saying things to me in that irish brogue :D

BookBoyfriend#9 Jasper Hale (Twilight)

I guess what i like about Jasper is that his quiet and would do anything for Alice. He reminds me of a character from Fullmetal Alchemist(anime). This might be odd but he reminds me of the big guy who follows and protects his wife. No matter what he's always there.

BookBoyfriend#10 Carlos Fuentes (Perfect Chemistry2)

Little borther to Alex Fuentes. Everything i like about Alex and more in Carlos. He pretends to be this badass kid but he's actually a really nice guy. A good ,honorable guy.

Well i tried and that was my top 10 "book boyfriends" 2011.

Top 10 Covers 2011

Book covers! when browsing books the first thing you see is the cover. Some books have horrible covers but the book itself is awesome and vice versa. So I guess, what I'm saying is that the covers aren't that important but we all like pretty things . I personally like steamy covers and interesting/mysterious covers.

With that said, here are my top 10 covers 2011.

My top 10 covers 2011

Cover#1 Lover Avenged (BDB Novel#7) by J.R Ward

I loved his one!  I even made a bookmark with this cover. This cover just fits with the main character. This is how I pictured Rehvenged throughout the story.

Cover#2 The Darkest Kiss (Lords of the Underworld#2) by Gena Showalter

Um do I really have to explain why I love this cover?
The book is awesome. Lucien is one of my favorite characters from Lords of the Underworld. He has one blue eye and one brown one. I think I'm starting to develop some kind of fetish towards men with mismatched  eyes.

Cover#3 Dream Warrior (Dream Hunter#4) by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Now if I say "Jericho" does it not fit the guy on the cover? I've said it before I love Sherrilyn Kenyon. I love the dream hunters series. Dream warrior is one of me favorites! Jericho was really one of does badass characters and this cover suits him and his story!

Cover#4 The Guardian (Dream Hunter#5) by Sherrilyn Kenyon

"First time in print" I OWN one of these! I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I bought this one, most of the other DH novel I've read online. I like this cover because it reminds me of Seth for some reason. And the colour works for me. That's saying a lot because I'm a very picky person.

Cover#5 Infinity 9 (Chronicles of Nick #1) by Sherrilyn Kenyon

I love this cover! and the other covers of the other books. And I love that Nick's symbol is used on the other covers as well. This was a great book , can't wait to read the others.

Cover#6 Deep Kiss of Winter by Kreseley Cole

Yeah............you know........that's why.

Cover#7 The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
This is a really awesome  book. Although the cover of the version I read was the one with the dominoes. I like this cover better because it depicts The Book Thief and Death dancing.

I thought it might be easy picking 10 covers but it wasn't. I couldn't choose the last 3 from books I've read so here are 3 covers of books I haven't read but want to because the covers are awesome.

Cover#8 Slow Burns by E.B Walters

While browsing I came across this cover and then immediately
looked up the book. Unfortunately, I can't find the eBook anywhere and I can't afford to buy it.
So it's on my TBR list.
Cover#9 Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield

Same story as Slow Burns . Saw the cover and want to read it. I like the cover because of the pile of books on it. A pile of books that you might find in an old stuffy bookstore.

Cover#10 The Darkest Seduction (Lords of the Underworld ) by Gena Showalter

I've never been interested in Paris's story. As for Sienna, at first she was a  weak character but as the story continued to develop, so did my interest in Paris & Sienna's story. I really can't wait for this book to come out. The cover is just an appetizer for what's to come and I'm starving!

Top 10 Books I've Read 2011

While I was browsing on my friends blog I came across this event to celebrate the books we've read in 2011. The event is hosted by A Lifebound Bound by Books,Confessions of a Bookaholic,Two Chicks on Books and Fikshun. I think it's a great, fantastic idea and that's why I'm participating (eventhough I'm kind of confused about the whole "linky" thing they kept mentioning). This year I challenged myself to read 100 books and I'm going to choose my top 10 books from that hundred. It was easy choosing 10 books, well not so easy the 10th book was  difficult . I had to choose between 3. Anyways here are the top 10 books I've read in 2011.

Book#1 Seize the Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon

I love the dark-hunter novels by Sherrilyn kenyon. Seize the Night was wonderful but also sad because of all the bad stuff that happened with nick and ash . Tabitha losing her sister and everybody dying and then coming back to life. That sucked and all but I love Tabitha she's awesome , pinerolli, come one?! As for Valeruis, you can't help but like the guy, at least that's just me. This book is my number one favorite because the title won't leave my head. Seize the night, Carpe Noctum.

Book#2 Unleash the Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon
Yeah, so I think I've mentioned that I LOVE the dark-hunters. They are mad,bad and immortal after all.
So if you've read this one,  then you already know it's a favorite because of Wren.

Book#3 Dance with the Devil By Sherrilyn Kenyon
Alright, Zarek of Moesia. This guy should be the definition of "psycho". I loved Zareks book. It was awesome. But what makes it great  is that both Zarek and Astrid love "The Little Prince". They quoted from that book, and that just touched me somehow. After reading Dance with the Devil, I went on to read The Little Prince.

Book#4 The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupery
Come on, did you not see that coming? It's a story about a boy who has a rose, he loves very much. He then goes out to the other planets looking for something to protect his planet from  the growing baobab. It's actually a very beautiful story. My favorite part is when the fox asks the boy to tame him. The boy doesn't know what tamed is so the fox tells him: tamed means "to create ties" For some reason I was sold.

Book#5 Infinity(chronicles of nick1) by Sherrilyn Kenyon
So, I've kind of lost interest in Young Adult novels. Well the ones like Pretty Little Liars, Vampire Academy, yuck. I'm not saying they suck because I haven't read them yet. Never judge a book by it's cover after all. It was never my intention to read Infinity but I had already gone through all the dark-hunter novels and impatiently waiting for The Guardian to come out. So I read Infinity just to pass time. And it was AWESOME. It was funny, it was action packed, it left you with questions. It was Nick Gautier , the young little cajun  from page one to the end leaving you wanting more. Maybe my interest in YA novels hasn't dissipated yet. To Infinity!!!

Book#6 The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
A brilliant story narrated by death himself. I read this book because I liked the title "The Book Thief" not that I like stealing or anything. I just sometimes burrow things and forget to give them back. It's an issue I'm working on. I can't wait to read more of Markus Zusak's books. I intend to buy The Book Thief ( I read the eBook). I loved the  characters Liesel and Max and the story of the stand-over man and the drawings had a great affect.

Book#7 The Hunger Games by Suzzane Collins
This had to be in the top 10. I still don't know how I feel about this book. I only know one things clear, this book is brilliant and deserves a place in the top 10. I don't know why but this book left me with a feeling of , I don't know. fear. That's irrational right? but I just don't know. This book was sad, frigtening, but great.

Book#8 Angels and Demons by Dan Brown
Another awesome conspiracy woven by Dan Brown! I love conspiracies and Angels and Demons did not dissapoint.  Science vs Religion. This book was THE anti-mater .

Book#9 Lover Awakened by J R Ward
"I was dead until you found me though I breathed. I was sightless, though I could see. And then you came and I was awakened". Man, Z was so broken . He still is but he has Bella now. Black Dagger Brotherhood is another one of my favorites.

Number 10 was a difficult decision between 1. Ice Cole (Tess Gerritsen), 2. The Guardian (Sherrilyn Kenyon),3. The Keepsake (Tess Gerritsen), so I let my mom pick a number between 1 and 3. She picked 2!

Book#10 The Guardian by Sherrilyn Kenyon
I loved this book because I got to read more about Jaden! mesmerizing eyes, tortured soul, smart mouth Jaden.
